The question this page answers

The envelope was declared. What has come against it, where do the five stand, and what is on its way in?

What you see

The commitment room, Overview tab, marked 1 to 3.
  1. The money line, Buying budget, Placed, Open to commit and Buying reserve.
  2. Declared targets, the five tiles a press opens into a drawer.
  3. On this commitment, the pages beside the room and this stage's acts.

Opening a commitment lands on its room, on the Overview tab. The head carries the commitment's name and one stage badge: Pre-season, In season, Continuity, Closed, or Window ended for a season whose window has passed and that nobody has closed yet. Pressing the badge opens the record's details: last season, Standing, Autonomy, Season, Category, Legs, the season's dates and Basis, each where it applies. Explore in Ask and On this commitment stand on the right.

Under the head, the tabs group what the stage offers: Overview, Plan the buy, Accounts, Scenarios, Trading, Stock, Tasks, Close the book and Buying budget. A tab appears only where the stage opens one of its walls. Pre-season offers Overview, Plan the buy, Accounts, Scenarios, Stock and Buying budget. In season and continuity offer Overview, Scenarios, Trading, Stock, Tasks and Buying budget, and a season whose window has ended adds Close the book. A closed season offers Overview, Scenarios, Stock, Close the book and Buying budget.

The money line under the tabs is the ladder: Buying budget, Placed, Open to commit, Buying reserve and Plan need, the plan still to arrive (Not yet planned before the season, where nobody has typed one). When the replenishment engine wants more than is open to commit, the line adds its recommended buy and the Funding gap. A closed season's line is the record at close: Buying budget, Placed and drafted, Received, and Never spent, or Overspent where the buy ran past the envelope.

A scope control switches between the whole commitment, a side and one leg, where there is a choice. Declared targets shows the five as tiles: Availability floor, Full-price sell-through, Margin floor, Buying budget and Buying reserve, each with its measured figure, a track against its target, and Declared or Not declared. On a continuity book the sell-through tile reads Stock cover. Pressing a tile opens a drawer with its Standing, what it was declared as, what was measured, what it is scored against and who declared it. The standing words are holding, watch, breached and not scored; at close they are Kept, Missed and Not scored at close.

Beneath the targets:

  • Incoming deliveries, the purchase orders due to land, each opening its order. Not on a closed season.
  • In season, the week's sales chart.
  • Stock plan, the envelope split by Channel, Category or Month. The month split shows Receipts needed, Placed and Of it; a Traded column appears only once money has moved between legs. Pressing a channel row sets the scope to that leg.
  • Monthly receipts plan, placed bars against the plan across the window's months. A continuity book has no receipts plan, so this card does not appear.
  • Accounts, where the commitment sells to accounts: each account's Booked value, Ordered units, Sold units and Firm units, and its reporting periods.

The clock button opens Commitment history: versions of the declaration, releases of the buying reserve, notes and trades between legs, on one timeline.

What to do

The room itself writes one thing; everything else here is a door.

  1. Press the name's badge to open the record: last season, Standing, Autonomy, Season, Category, Legs, the season's dates and Basis, each where it applies.
  2. Use the scope control to switch the whole page between the whole commitment, a side or one leg, where there is a choice.
  3. Press a tile under Declared targets to open its drawer: Standing, what it was declared as, what was measured, what it is scored against and who declared it.
  4. Press a row under Incoming deliveries to open its purchase order.
  5. Press a channel row on Stock plan to set the scope to that leg.
  6. Press On this commitment for the pages beside the room this stage offers (Declaration and Open to buy, plus the agreed book before the season and on continuity) and its acts: Sign off or Request sign off while a declaration waits, Amend the declaration, Change what it covers, Release the chase, Archive commitment (offered as Delete or archive while a declaration is still pending) and Close and reckon. An act that cannot run is greyed with its reason; one held for another role carries a lock.
  7. Press the clock button to open Commitment history and add a note. This needs Read & write access and changes no declared number.

When it is empty or failed

No commitment with that id.

The commitment did not load, so nothing below would be safe to act on.

A money line that did not answer says Budget could not be loaded, with Retry. The Stock plan reads Allocation unavailable when it has nothing to split, and Channel allocation not set when no leg declared money. The receipts card reads Plan unavailable, or No plan available, with the reason behind its details button:

This window serves no monthly receipts plan, so there is no intake curve to draw.

Commitment history reads History unavailable when it cannot load, and No activity recorded when nothing has happened yet.
