The question this page answers

What should this commitment cover, and what would bringing something in or taking it out arm?

What you see

Re-assign a commitment changes what an armed commitment is applied to, and nothing else. The head names the commitment and the act, Change what it covers. The current scope is read back as a table of what it covers today. A picker names what to bring in or take out, at category, collection, lifecycle, product or variant grain, never channel, with a running line that counts what is in, what is excluded, and how many variants that reaches. The record holds at most two hundred entries, and the picker says when it is full. An entry may carry dates, offered as Give it dates. What it would be applied to is the compile's answer as a table, and What that arms names the engines that read the new membership.

Two consequences stand before the button: what the change moves, in the compile's own words, and:

The five numbers do not move.

Nearest wins: a variant entry beats a product entry, which beats any container, and an exclusion bites only where it sits nearer than the include. An empty set clears the record and returns the commitment to covering its own scope in full, and the page says so. A re-assignment is recorded on the one press, as an amendment of the numbers is; neither waits for a second signature.

What to do

Re-assigning takes the Commitments door, an admin or a member given it. Add what you mean to bring in or take out, give an entry dates if it has them, and let it compile. Back to what it covers today discards the draft. Say why: the reason code is required and the note is optional. Press the button; the receipt is the new version recorded beside the old, on the same record an amendment writes to. The way back is another re-assignment, or an empty set. On Work the buy this act is a drawer under On this commitment; the numbers themselves are moved by Amend a commitment.

When it is empty or failed

No commitment at this address.

The declaration did not come back.

A pending declaration has nothing live to move, and the page says so with a door to Read it for sign-off:

Sign this declaration before reassigning it.

The catalogue's own states are named at the grain being picked:

Catalogue failed to load. Coverage is unchanged.

Your catalogue holds nothing at this grain to name here.

The engine refuses a membership that contradicts itself, and the page says why before the press: an exception at the same grain as the container that brings its objects in is a tie, and a tie is a contradiction the engine refuses. A declaration that does not carry all five numbers cannot be compiled here:

This declaration does not carry all five numbers, so its membership cannot be compiled or re-assigned here.

The engine refuses this membership. Change what it names, then compile again.

A refused write renders as a card, The re-assignment was not recorded, with Re-read this commitment beside it.
