What it writes
Set colour depths records units per colourway for one style on one commitment, and writes the style's depth and its colour split in one transaction, so a half-written pair cannot exist: a failure anywhere leaves neither changed. The depth is the sum of the units typed; the split is each colourway's share of it, stored to the nearest whole basis point, with the typed units kept beside it so nothing typed is lost. A colourway at zero is cut; a colourway left out has no reading. It spends nothing, stages no Bench line, places no order, and moves none of the five declared numbers. The same units again change nothing and do not restamp the author.
Who may press it
A seat that can write, on a plan that includes Commitments. The colour options on Work the buy are the act's home: type units against colourways in the Options tab of a row's drawer and press Record these units, or record the colour allocation from the style's product panel. Ask Tightly may propose it as set_colour_depths, and offers it only to a seat that also holds editing on the Buy door. Pressing the chip asks Ask Tightly to restate the act, your yes is the confirm, and the write then runs under your own seat. Over MCP nothing here writes: a connected agent reads the commitment, and the act stays a person's press.
What you see
The receipt says how many units landed across how many colourways, and adds a note where the split had to round to whole basis points:
{units} units recorded across {n} colourways.
The Whose column then reads Yours with your name. A refusal carries the server's sentence in the drawer, and the record stands as it was. Before anything is sent, the drawer answers the two cases it can see itself:
No units are typed.
Every colourway at zero is refused.
What to do
The way back is the next write: other units, or the depth's own hand-back, which returns the style to the forecast. To divide a depth already typed without changing it, use Set a colour split; to type the style's depth as one figure, use Set a worked depth. Add to Bench carries the pair to the Bench once every colourway has a reading.
Refusals you may read
This act has its own sentences. A colourway the style is not offered in is refused by name, and the sentence lists the colourways it is offered in. A style outside the commitment's scope, or one your catalogue does not declare as managed by Tightly, is refused. A negative figure is refused.
Every colourway at zero is the style cut to nothing, and that is one decision, not a split: record it as a depth of zero, so a cut stays sayable one way.
This style is not offered in colourways, so there are no colour depths to type. Its buy is a single depth.
This style is offered in exactly one colourway, so the whole buy is already that colourway. Set its depth instead; a one-colour split would be a decision that says nothing.
This style's depth is already set channel by channel, and colour units type the style as a whole. Saved on top, the two would count its buy twice. Change the channel depths, or clear them all first.
Saving colour depths is not available on this account yet. Nothing was changed.
