What it writes
Declare a plan month declares one cell of a commitment's plan: for one category and one month, planned sales, reductions as markdown and shrink, the closing target as a level or as cover weeks, and on the season's first month the opening level. A cell may be a channel leg's, where the commitment declares legs. It is a planner's input to a figure Open to buy derives; it spends nothing and moves none of the five declared numbers. Absent leaves a term as it is, a figure sets it, and a clear flag removes it, because nobody has said must stay reachable for one term while another keeps its figure. Each term has one form, and declaring one form clears the other. The same request twice leaves the same cell, and the answer says whether anything changed rather than reporting saved.
Who may press it
A seat that can write, on a plan that includes Commitments. On the page, the plan is typed in The book section of Open to buy with one category chosen (the whole-book view is read-only), and what you type there lands as that category's whole row in one write, so every month of the row lands or none does. Ask Tightly may propose the single-cell act; pressing the chip asks Ask Tightly to restate it, your yes is the confirm, and the write then runs under your own seat. Over MCP nothing here writes: a connected agent reads the commitment, and the act stays a person's press.
How
- On Open to buy, choose the row's own category under Category.
- Press a term's cell in the month's row to open it for typing.
- Type the figure, or leave it absent to keep the term as nobody has said.
- Press Enter to save the cell, or Esc to leave it as it was.
- Repeat for every term the month needs; the row writes once you move off it.
- 1A term's own cell, reading No prediction until a figure is typed.
What you see
The plan cell is the receipt, drawn in the edited state while the change is being worked, and the figures derived from it move with it. A refused write leaves the cells as they were, with the server's sentence beside them. An empty cell names its absence: Not declared for a reduction or closing target nobody typed, Not counted for an opening level nobody measured, No prediction where there is no sales figure, Not computable where receipts or open to buy have nothing to stand on.
What to do
The way back is the clear: the same act's clear flags, or clearing the cell on the page, return the term to nobody has said. A leg's cell is cleared on its own and leaves the category row standing. Lock the budget in the Budget section of the same page once the plan is agreed; the lock is refused where the grid has holes.
Refusals you may read
The plan refuses, as an answer about the commitment's state, a month its grid does not serve, an opening level on any month but the season's first, and a tenant whose account cannot yet record a plan by channel. A rolling commitment has no season grid of its own and is refused until it carries a reviewed planning context:
A rolling commitment requires a reviewed planning context before edits
It refuses, as a bad request, a markdown or shrink rate on a month with no planned sales to be a rate of, a category the commitment does not cover, naming the ones it does, and a channel the commitment declares no leg for, naming the legs it does. A leg's rate is a rate of that leg's own typed sales, so a rate on a leg with no sales beside it is refused rather than resolved against another channel's money. A whole row that commands more money than the envelope declares is refused with the figures in the sentence; a single cell only warns on the read, because a planner fills a row one cell at a time.
The plan's read also names what it cannot compute rather than showing a zero, for example:
Cover weeks cannot become a level without planned sales to cover, and the weeks after this month have none.
