What it writes
Set a size split records how one style's buy divides across its sizes: a share per size in basis points, summing to ten thousand, on one commitment. It writes the division and nothing else: no units, no Bench line, no order, and none of the five declared numbers. A split that does not total the whole buy is refused with what it actually totalled, never normalised, so a curve nobody chose cannot be stored. A hand-back clears the split and returns the style to no division; a size with no reading is not the same as one cut to zero.
Who may press it
A seat that can write, on a plan that includes Commitments. On Work the buy the split is typed as shares on the style's size cells in the grid, or in the Size curve editor in the Buy tab of the style's product panel, which also hands the split back. Ask Tightly may propose it, and offers it only to a seat that also holds editing on the Buy door. Pressing the chip asks Ask Tightly to restate the act, your yes is the confirm, and the write then runs under your own seat. Over MCP nothing here writes: a connected agent reads the commitment, and the act stays a person's press.
How
- On Work the buy, open Actions and set the grid's grain to Size.
- Read Split for the style's row; a size not yet answered shows as still reading.
- Type a share for every size the style is offered in, as a percentage of the whole buy.
- Where the panel offers it instead, open the style's row and use the Size curve editor in its Buy tab.
- Press Record split to write it, or Hand back split to clear it back to no division.
- 1A style's split, marked reading until a share is typed; type it here.
What you see
The split as recorded shows in place, in the cells and the editor. A refusal is a band that names the style and carries the server's sentence, with the total as found where the shares do not add up. The server answers a split that changes nothing with:
This is already the size curve on record, so nothing was changed and nobody was restamped.
What to do
The way back is the next split, or the hand-back. A split must cover every size the style is offered in before the buy can go to the Bench: Add to Bench skips a style whose split does not cover its run. The colour split is its own act, Set a colour split, and the depth the split divides is Set a worked depth.
Refusals you may read
Saving a size curve is not available on this account yet. Nothing was changed.
This style is not offered in sizes, so there is no size run to spread its buy across.
A size curve must add up to the whole buy: 10000 basis points, which is 100%. This one adds up to {total} ({percent}%). It has not been saved and has not been adjusted: rounding a curve to fit would store a split you did not choose. Sizes you leave out keep no reading at all, and a size you want to buy none of is entered as 0.
A share for a size the style is not offered in is refused by name, and the sentence lists the sizes it is offered in, so the fix is a thing a planner can see. A share below none or above the whole buy is refused with the size named. A split that names no size at all is refused, and the sentence says to hand the split back instead. A style outside the commitment's scope is refused, because a size curve for it would mean nothing. Clearing a style that has no split says there is nothing to clear:
This style has no size curve set, so there is nothing to clear. Its buy is not split by size.
