The question this page answers

Knowing what the season did, were we as confident as we said we were?

What you see

Hindsight is the closed season's reading: kept or missed, and how well the declaration was calibrated. It scores the declaration, never a person. It is offered once a boxed season's window has ended, or the season is closed, under the room's Close the book tab.

The top card names what was Left unsold, where the biggest misses were, then the five at close, each with its word (Kept, Missed or Not scored) and the figure that decides it.

A style table follows, one row per style: its Depth, then Received, Sold, Left, Sell-through and Unsold where the season was measured, or How it sold and At cost where it was not. The footer totals the columns. What last season taught, style by style, gives each style a Verdict (Repeat, Reduce or Drop, with its reason on hover), its Sell-through, Realised margin and Size residual.

Were we as confident as we said is the calibration table: Number, Weeks compared, Inside, and the Reading. For each number it counts the weeks compared and how often the measured value landed inside the declared band; a number with no band reads No band declared. The Reading column prints the reading's sentence, or Not scored where there is none, and the notes on Weeks compared and Inside print beneath their figures.

Where scenarios were considered, the page compares them with what landed, and The buys we did not make lists each alternative with what it was At the time, what it Changes, and The claim, or Never costed where nobody costed it. The clock button opens Declaration history: each Version, What happened, Why and when it was recorded.

What carries into the next season lists the lessons, each with its evidence.

What to do

Read the five at close, then the calibration, then the lessons. The door under the lessons carries them forward. Where the next season's commitment already exists, it reads Carry N lessons into that season and records this season as its predecessor, which needs the role that signs commitments off. Where none exists yet, it reads Declare the next season with N lessons and opens the Declare wizard with the lessons filled in. The lessons then appear on the next season's Pre-season page. Weekly verdicts explains the weeks the calibration is counted from.

When it is empty or failed

Weekly results that fail to load read Weekly results failed to load., and alternatives that fail read Alternatives failed to load. Where the styles are still being read, the table says Reading the styles., and the style verdicts Reading the per-style verdict. A figure that was not counted or scored names that absence in its cell, such as not counted or not scored, rather than a zero. If carrying the lessons fails, the door says so and can be pressed again.
