What it is
The availability floor is the share of the commitment's range that must be in stock, declared as a percentage with a basis. It is the first of the five numbers a commitment declares. Below the floor the promise is at risk; above it there is nothing to say. It is a floor, so it carries no band: any point under it is already a deviation, and the room never invents a tolerance for it.
How Tightly decides it
The planner declares it on Declare, where the row is Availability & fill, set per channel and opened at its band floor rather than at a suggestion. The record keeps a percentage, so the pooled floor is the fill declared for accounts; the direct channel's guard is set in weeks of cover, which no percentage can hold, and Declare says before you commit that it is not kept. Tightly's suggestions read serves a figure: the book's own in-stock share over the trailing 180 days, one point under what was measured and rounded down, labelled own history where the stock archive holds it, or today's position where no history was ever archived, which is a weaker basis and is never relabelled as a trend.
Once the commitment is signed and its window is open, the verdicts engine scores the floor every Monday over the retail week that closed: the share of variant days in stock, with each variant's stock summed across its locations for each day, over every variant in the scope. Fewer than 20 known variant days in the week reads not measured. One week under the floor reads needs review; it turns urgent after three weeks running or when the week is more than five points under. Before the window opens the number reads not applicable yet, with the open date named, never a green. Where the archive answered nothing for the week, the current position is read so the row can say why in words, and the week is not scored off it. A population that moves sharply week on week is recorded as not measured with both figures, because on a re-anchored book a change in the number is a change in the book.
The compile preview binds the floor onto the replenishment engine's policy bounds for the scope, at the grain of a variant and channel carrying a live forecast, and states that population in words beside its count.
The words on the face
| Word | Where | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Floor | The band cell of The five | A floor has no band; this is the one word that says so |
| holding | The five, the room | Measured and inside its declaration |
| watch | The five, the room | A recorded deviation the money floor held below the worklist |
| breached | The five, the room | Under the floor and flagged this week; the one place amber is spent |
| not scored | The five | The window has not opened, the first week has not closed, or the share could not be taken; never a green |
| not applicable yet | This week | The window opens later, and the date is named |
The declared figure and its basis are read on Declaration beside what has moved since, and every amendment that moved it is a version with its receipt.
What you can do about it
Declare sets it; Amend moves it, as a new version. When it reads breached or watch, the room's next action opens replenishment in season and supply before it, and Add to Bench stages what a person decides to buy. Nothing here buys anything by itself: the engines put a quantity forward and a person approves it.
Glossary line
The availability floor is the share of the range that must be in stock, declared with a basis, below which the promise is at risk; a floor, so it has no band.
