The question this page answers

Which of my accounts sent their weekly sell-out, which did not, and what happens if I land this file? Sell-out intake is where an account's own report becomes measured demand. It is part of Tightly Connect on Essentials+ and Pro.

What you see

The head is the page's name, Sell-out intake, with Explore in Ask, a window of 12 weeks, 26 weeks or 52 weeks, and one button, Import a file. The head carries no sentence. Details holds five counts: Reporting, Gone quiet, Never reported, Weeks missing and Units reported, and is not drawn where any account reports by the month. Every account is in exactly one of the first three; an account that has not reported for two weeks or more has gone quiet.

The grid is accounts down and weeks across, and it opens on the newest week. Before the weeks stand the account's own columns: Account, Source (File, or Email where the newest week came in by email), Mapping (Reads itself, Draft waiting to publish, or Not mapped), Declaration and Last reported (a date, or Never, with the weeks quiet on hover). Declaration reads the account's answers in short, for example By store · GBP · incl. tax, with every answer in full on hover, or Not declared where nobody has answered yet.

Each week is one track on a single scale, the busiest week on the grid, filled as far as that week's units. Its hover gives the units and products and says by email where it came that way. A week the account did not report has no track at all, and its hover reads:

Not reported, not a zero.

A file that carried stock and no sales is a track with no fill. Where any account reports by the month, the grid gives way to one table of Reporting period, Cadence, Sold units and Reported stock, so no month is read as a week.

What to do

Press a row to open the account. Its menu holds Import a file, Chase the sell-out file (only for an account that has gone quiet or never reported), Publish the mapping (only for an admin, on a draft mapping) and Open the account. Chase opens a note in your own mail, addressed to the account's main contact where one is on file (else the first contact with an address) and naming up to the last four missing weeks; nothing is sent from Tightly.

Import a file opens the drawer Import a sell-out file. Drop the account's export, in their own layout (CSV, text or Excel), and choose the account under Choose who sent it. The account is never read from the file: a wrong guess would file one account's sell-through under another's name and look normal on every screen afterwards. Where the file carries no date, Week starting asks for one; it is never guessed.

The preview lands no sell-out. What this file would do reads Recognised as (or Not a format on file), Rows read, Week (or No week in the file), Would record and Would not match a product. Reading conventions shows the account's five answers, Week ends on, Locations, Currency, Prices and A missing row means, and says where this file reads differently. A file no format recognises opens a Map step instead, which saves your matching as a draft: match Tightly's fields to their columns, and an admin presses Publish the mapping so every later file from that account reads itself.

The button says what it writes: Import {n} rows, or Record the answers and import {n} rows where the answers are not yet recorded. What landed reads Week, Recorded, Changed (None, already recorded, on a week sent before) and Did not match a product with each reason. Import another file starts again.

Ask Tightly can change the window and open an account's page. Importing, chasing and publishing stay your presses.

Refusals and empty states

An import for an account with no recorded answers is refused, and the drawer offers Record these answers and import. The refusal reads:

before we can read this account's reports, tell us four things about them: which day their week ends, whether the figures are stores or the whole account, the currency and whether prices include tax, and whether a product missing from the file means it sold none or means they did not report it

A file whose weeks end on a different day from the one recorded is stopped until you confirm which day is right. Every other refusal is the server's own sentence, in place.

Once a file lands, that account's styles are graded again from its own doors, and no other account's. A read that failed says, where the grid would have stood, "The coverage read failed, so no silence on this page is measured." with Try again. With no account on file the page reads "No accounts on file yet."
