The question this page answers

Sell-through answers how what you bought is selling in your doors, and what you should reorder while it can still land. It is the in-season page of your seat: every row is your own reported sell-out, and the page reads nothing the brand holds about stock or supply.

What you see

Sell-through, marked 1 to 2.
  1. The figure row, counted over the doors the grid is showing.
  2. The grid, doors down and weeks across; Reorders sits below it, off this figure.

The head is the page's name, Sell-through, with its one act, Send sell-out, and a window control: Season to date, or a number of weeks; on Doors its basis reads Units, the weeks drawn and the season, with the as-of at the right. Under it stand two tabs: Doors, the page described here, and Analysis, your own reported measures. There is no head sentence.

The figure row: Reporting (doors reporting over your doors), Gone quiet, Never reported, Weeks missing (the weeks a door did not report) and Sell-out last reported (a date, or Never reported). A count of none reads None. The figures are counted over the doors the grid is showing, so a search narrows them too.

The grid is your doors down and weeks across, searchable by door: Door, Sold (Never reported for a door that has sent nothing; Stock only where its file carried stock and no sales), On hand (Not counted), Sell-through (Not measured), Last reported (a date, or Never) and Weeks, a small bar per week. A week a door did not report draws no bar, never a zero, and the bar's hover says Not reported or Stock only. Sold and On hand carry footer totals, and under the grid a chart draws what your doors sold week by week, its figure equal to the Sold footer. An account whose doors report on different periods reads as periods rather than weeks.

Reorders is the reading beneath: one row per style the brand proposes to top up at your account: Style, Suggested (units, with a footer total), Ship by, Can land, Can change until (your line's own cancel date, or No date) and Ask; a Thread column appears once anyone has said something on a row. Can land is a mark with its word on the face, "Can land" or "Cannot land", the day and reason on hover: "Can land by {day}", or "Cannot land inside your window". The brand works it out from the ship-by date plus your doors' transit time against your line's cancel date; the brand's stock and supply behind it never appear.

What to do

Press Send sell-out to land your own weekly file. The drawer takes the file in your own layout, and a Week starting date where the file carries none. Its preview writes nothing: it says what this file would do, what still requires action with a proposed answer, and how your file reads, the conventions recorded once for your account. Before the button stand "Your seller reads this week on the desk they buy from." and "Only your own account's styles are graded from it." The account is your seat's, never read from the file. When it lands, the drawer shows what landed, and your account is re-graded from your own doors and no other account is touched.

Press Ask for it on a reorder row to open the thread on that style, seeded "Can we take {n} more {style}? {can land}." above "Your seller answers this on the desk they buy from." and "Nothing is ordered until recorded." The brand answers it where they already work, and the outcome reaches you as a line on My orders when they record it. A style that is running behind and should be marked down, returned or swapped is asked in the same thread, in words; no markdown money is computed here.

When it is empty or failed

An empty week is a week not reported; Never reported is a door or an account that has never sent a file; Not measured is a share with nothing on hand to divide by. Before you have sent any file the page reads "No sell-out reports"; a file that reports one total for the account reads "Account total · no location breakdown". A read that failed reads "Sell-through unavailable" with Try again; the reorders' own, "Reorders unavailable", and a week with none, "No proposed reorders". A file the drawer could not read prints "That file could not be read. Nothing has been sent."; an import the server refused, "The week did not land. Nothing has been recorded." Nothing here names a supplier, a factory or the brand's inventory.
