The question this page answers
Claims answers what you have asked this brand to change on your orders, and what they decided. A claim you raise names one line and asks for one thing: move its window, change its quantity, or cancel it. It waits until a person at the brand accepts or declines it; that decision is the only place a claim becomes money, and it is theirs to make.
What you see
- 1Decided, Raised by you and From your email.
- 2One claim a row, with its Ask and State.
The head is the page's name, Claims, and its one act, Raise a claim, with the basis Units · every season and the as-of at the right. The page reads your whole book, not the season chosen in the band. What waits on you is counted on the rail: the number beside Claims is the decisions the brand has landed that you have not read yet.
Once there is a claim, the figure row counts three things off the table: Decided, Raised by you, and From your email, the claims the brand lifted from a message you sent them. Each is a plain count.
The table is one claim a row. Raised is the date and who: by you, by {brand}, or by {brand}, from your email, with the name of the person who raised it on hover. Line is the style with its season and category, the season alone where the brand's room could not place the line in a category, or Names no line. Ask is the change asked with its figure: New window {from} to {to}, Move ships-from to {day}, Move cancel-by to {day}, Change to {n} units, or Cancel by {day}; where no figure was asked it reads the ask itself: Move the ship window, Change the quantity, Cancel the line, or, on a claim the brand lifted from your email, Change the price or Hold the line. State reads Waiting on {brand}, with the brand's name, while it is open, then Accepted, Declined or Withdrawn with the day of the decision, and · new to you beside a decision you have not read yet. Thread is the count of what has been said on the claim.
A claim the brand lifted from your email shows its type, the dates asked and the decision, never the text of your message; your own words come back to you only on claims you raised. The brand's exposure on a claim is theirs and never crosses.
What to do
Press Raise a claim, on this page or from a line on My orders or a window on Ship windows. The drawer asks for the Line, reads it back, and asks for the change under Ask: Move the ship window (New ships-from and New cancel-by), Change the quantity (New quantity) or Cancel the line (New cancel-by), with Words for why you are asking. Above its one button, Raise the claim, stands the one thing true of every claim: "Nothing changes until {brand} accepts." The button waits, with its reason beside it, until the claim can be read: "Name the line this claim is about, so the change can be read against it.", "Name the date you want it to ship from." or "Name the quantity you want." The receipt is the claim's Ask, Raised and State, where the button was; a refusal with no sentence reads "Your claim was not raised." When the brand accepts, the line takes its next version and My orders and Ship windows read the new date or quantity; when they decline, the state says so with the day.
Press a row to open the claim: its Ask, Raised and State, and the thread. Say something there or read what the brand said; each comment carries its author's name, company and chair, and above the box it reads "{brand} can read this and answer here." Nothing here emails anyone; the counts on Home and on the rail are the notification.
When it is empty or failed
Waiting on {brand} is an open claim; new to you is a decision that landed since your seat was last opened. A book with no claim reads "No claim on your orders." A read that failed reads "Your claims could not be read.", or carries the server's own sentence where one was sent, with Try again. A thread nobody has spoken in reads "Nothing said yet."; a comment the server refused, "What you said was not posted."
