The question this page answers

Can I adjust this one number, read it against something else, ask about it, and decide whether the Board should keep the change? The workspace is one kept answer opened on its own page. Everything you change here is scratch until you press Update saved insight, so you can try a grain, a filter or a comparison without moving what the Board holds.

What you see

The head is the answer's title, which you press to rename, and one sentence on the record's standing: Re-read just now, with the change since the last read and the day of that read, or why it could not be re-read, or A written answer, never re-run. At the right stand the basis, the unit of the answer on screen, and the stamp: Dated with the day the saved figures were read until the live read lands, then Read with the day and the time; Re-running… while a change is read.

Under the head stand the doors Board and Open the conversation, and on the right the acts: Adjust this answer, which opens a drawer beside the page holding Measure, Filters, Ordered by and How many. Below is the full answer block: the chips Period, Read by, Split by, Compare and Threshold; a chip for each measure and filter it shows; the plot; The numbers; the Basis table; Resources. A chip you changed reads Yours, with a cross that lets it follow the question again. The block's menu holds Remove from board and Add to Home.

The Ask Tightly panel stands beside this page, and every question asked there is about the answer on screen. Its Start with offers What moved this since it was saved?, Where did the change come from? and Should the board keep this view?

The moment the question on screen differs from the record, the head gains the badge

Adjusted · board unchanged

and the primary Update saved insight, and the chips row carries Undo naming the last change. The view you are looking at, with the comparison and the threshold you chose, rides in the address, so a link you copy opens the same view for a colleague while the Board keeps its record.

A written answer renders its text at reading measure under its stamp, Snapshot · saved with the day, with Remove from board beside it and no chips. Its saved links carry the line

These are the words as saved; what they point at is the live version.

Saved operational tables

A kept allocation, policy or stock-evidence table can contain the rows read when the answer was saved. Those rows remain available when you reopen the answer. If the answer has no supported live query, it is a snapshot: its saved figures do not recalculate when stock or a policy changes, and live adjustment controls are not offered. Ask for a new reading when you need the current position. Links from the snapshot may open the current underlying record.

What to do

Change the question with a chip or a docked control; the answer re-runs live and the badge appears. Undo steps back one change at a time down to the record. Update saved insight writes the question on screen to the Board's record, and the head reads Board updated at with the time. A refusal prints the server's sentence under the acts and nothing is marked saved. Type in the panel to ask about this answer. Rename in the head. Nothing on this page asks the engine to think again on open, and nothing writes without a button.

When it is empty or failed

No longer on your board.

This answer could not be opened.

In both cases the page shows the Board door and nothing else. A link whose view could not be restored shows the record instead, with the badge Saved view shown and, on hover, The view in this link could not be read. A live read the server refused keeps the saved figures and puts its sentence in the head.
