The question this page answers

Has anything changed since I last looked, and which kept answers need re-running? The Board is where answers are kept. A chart or figure carrying a saved question is read again live when the page opens, so the Board tells you what the number is now and how far it has moved since you saved it. A written answer or a saved table answer is a snapshot: its original date and figures stay as they were saved. On Tightly Lite this address draws the ten fixed charts instead.

What you see

The Board: Ask Tightly's kept answers, in one place.

The head reads Board, with Read on open as its basis and, as its as-of, the newest day and time the server stamped on any kept answer. The controls are a search box, a switch between Visuals and Table, Reports, Refresh all and New conversation. Above the answers, Kept answers counts them; twenty-five stand on a page.

Visuals, the view the page opens on, draws one card per kept answer: its title, its figure and chart, and a stamp at the foot. The card's menu offers Refresh (not on a written answer), Rename, Open in the workspace, Pin to Homepage or Unpin from Homepage, and Delete.

Table draws a row per kept answer, grouped under its state (Moved since saved, Unchanged, Snapshots, Cannot be re-run, and the rest), each group with its count:

ColumnWhat the cell holds
AnswerThe title, with a pin and Home or the room's name where it is pinned; a written answer carries its opening words beneath
KindChart, Figure, Report or Written
NowThe live figure, or No figure
Since savedThe change with an up or down glyph, Unchanged, Restated, Not comparable, First read, Not re-read, Not re-run or Could not be re-run
ReadThe stamp: Live, Dated with the day, Not yet refreshed, Saved with the answer or Re-running…; Refresh failed beneath where the last refresh failed
AskedThe day it was kept; Ask · and the client's name beneath where a connected client kept it
Last readsA spark of the live series where there are two or more points

A row opens the workspace for that answer. Its menu offers Open the conversation, Refresh (not on a written answer, which a refresh would replace rather than update), Rename, Add to Home or On your Home, and Delete. Where the source conversation was deleted, the menu says The source conversation has been deleted. in place of the door.

What to do

Open a row or a card to work the answer in the workspace. For live readings, Refresh re-runs one answer: an answer that carries its question is read again as it was, with no rewording. A saved table snapshot keeps its original rows and date, including when refreshed. To get current figures, open the conversation and ask again; save that new answer separately. Refresh all queues eligible live charts and figures, twelve at a time, and they land a moment later; an answer with no question of its own is left for its own Refresh. Rename in the cell: Enter commits, Escape cancels. Add to Home puts the answer on Home, and choosing On your Home takes it off. Delete removes the answer from the Board, takes it off Home, asks nothing first, and says Removed with the title above the table. Search asks the Board again for the answers that match your words. An answer never re-read, or last read more than two hours ago, is refreshed once by itself when the page opens; written answers and saved table snapshots are not updated this way.

When it is empty or failed

The page's own sentences stand for the three states:

Nothing kept yet.

No kept answers match “{search}”.

Your board could not be read just now.

with Try again under the last. A refresh that did not land leaves the saved figures in place; the table's Read cell says Refresh failed beneath its stamp, and the card says

Latest refresh failed. Try again.

A Member or an Admin keeps, refreshes, renames and deletes; a Viewer reads the Board.

Saved table answers show their original columns and rows in Visuals, on Home and when opened from a commitment. In the Board table view, the reading gives the number of saved rows. Refresh is not offered for these snapshots; ask again to get current figures.

Prepared reference snapshots may also include a chart. Their chart and saved rows remain readable without a last-refreshed date; the saved date and preparation note provide context, without claiming a live reading.
