What it writes
Three presses decide what a skill's run does next. Approve records your decision and resumes a parked run from the step it stopped on, so the step it parked on then runs. Reject records your decision and cancels the run; nothing further runs. Undo everything, on a finished run, puts every change the run made back to its before-value, field by field, in one press. Where the undo is the second on that skill inside a fortnight, the skill steps down a rung by itself.
A parked run is a run that reached a step its rung may not take alone, or an irreversible write, which waits for a person's approval whatever the rung.
Who may press it
The person the decision is assigned to, as a Member or an Admin. Approve and Reject are offered in three places that write one decision: the Inbox, the Skills page's Waiting on you table, and the run's own page, in the Held for you card beside its steps. Undo everything is on the run's page only, in its head beside Keep this run as a case. All three need a plan with Skills, which starts at Essentials.
What you see
The consequence line stands before the two verbs. In the Inbox:
Resumes the parked run; rejecting cancels it
and in Held for you:
Approve resumes the parked run; Reject cancels it.
One decision is in flight at a time, and every button holds still until it lands. The receipt reads back in place: Approved with the time and the run resumes, or
Rejected; the run is cancelled and nothing further runs.
The Inbox prints Approved or Rejected with the row's title under its table; the Skills page's Waiting on you says Held; the run stops with nothing written. for a rejection.
Undo everything can be pressed only while every change can go back, nothing has been undone and there is something to undo; otherwise its reason reads Already undone., Nothing to undo., or
A change carried no before-value, so nothing can go back.
since a half-undone run is worse than either state. Its receipt counts what was put back, Put back with the count of changes, and adds the skill stepped down a rung where it did. The run's head then reads Undone on the day, with the count of changes put back.
What to do
A rejected run is not resumed; run the skill again, or wait for its next trigger. An approved run's way back is Undo everything once it has finished. An undone run stays undone; there is no redo, and the Changes table shows every before and after so the record is readable. Keep this run as a case turns a good run into a permanent case for the skill, and says Kept as a permanent case.
Refusals you may read
A decision already taken elsewhere, or one not assigned to you, is refused and nothing changes:
Approval request not found, not assigned to you, or already decided
Where the decision could not be recorded and the server said why, its sentence prints where the button was; where it said nothing:
Not recorded, nothing changed.
An undo the server refused names the field that cannot be put back; an undo that put nothing back says
Nothing was undone.
