The question this page answers
For this variant and each supplier that carries it: what is the minimum quantity, batch size, unit cost, cadence and per-warehouse lead time, and which supplier is the default?
What you see
Variant suppliers is a drawer, not a page of its own. It opens from the supplier fact in the variant's room in Inventory, and it holds everything Tightly knows about buying one variant from each supplier on file.
Its head is one sentence naming the default supplier: {supplier} supplies this variant by default. When another supplier on file is on time more often, the sentence names that one instead: {supplier} is on time more often than {default}. Every term sits in the table beneath. The basis line reads Supplier currency · Days.
The table is one row per linked supplier, the default first, then the most reliable: Supplier, with its on-time percentage as a sub-word, archived where it is, and the badge Most reliable on the highest score; Default, the word on the default row and a Set as default button on the others; MOQ; Batch; Unit cost, in the supplier's currency, with from variant beneath where the cost comes from the variant rather than this supplier; Cadence, in days, with from system beneath where it is your default; Lead time, as a range with a by warehouse word that opens a second table of Warehouse, Lead time and Source; and Remove. Set as default and Remove appear only when more than one supplier is linked.
The source words matter more than the figures. A lead time's Source reads this variant at this supplier, this supplier, or from system; a cost reads from variant or stands on its own. The word, never the number, says whether an override exists. MOQ and batch do not inherit from anywhere, so an empty cell means none, and a quantity of zero is treated as no minimum. Where the variant sits in a size pack at that supplier, the MOQ and Batch cells read 1 · size pack and cannot be edited.
What to do
Writing needs a seat that can write; the server refuses a read-only seat's save. Edit MOQ, Batch, Unit cost, Cadence and each warehouse's lead time in the cells. Only what you changed is saved; a field you clear goes back to inheriting from the level above, and nothing seeded from an inherited level is sent until you touch it. The consequence line before Save says so:
Only what you changed is saved.
Set as default makes that supplier the variant's default, the one the Bench buys from when a line arrives without a supplier and the one replenishment marks as default. Remove asks first:
Remove {supplier} from this variant? Its MOQ, cost and lead times for this variant are dropped.
Add supplier links another supplier that is not archived; its row is seeded from what the variant would inherit, and the link is saved with Save. Nothing here writes the supplier's own record or its minimum order value; that is money on the supplier, edited on The supplier.
Two refusals are the server's own sentences, in place:
Exactly one supplier must be marked as default.
Cannot unset the default supplier; mark another supplier as default instead.
When it is empty or failed
This variant's suppliers could not be read.
The read failed.
No default supplier set.
No supplier is linked, or none is the default; add one and set it as default.
The supplier settings were not saved.
The supplier was not removed.
The write failed for a reason the server did not name; try again.
