The question this page answers

How is this workspace paid for, where are its cards, invoices and receipts, and is a change or a cancellation scheduled? Billing carries no price list, no plan picker and no plan name: pricing is negotiated, and the plan is set with Tightly.

What you see

The head is the page's name, Billing, with Talk to us at its right.

Payment is one row. It reads Cards, invoices and receipts with the door Open billing portal for a workspace on a live plan with a Stripe customer on file, Not set up yet for any other workspace billed by Tightly through Stripe, or Billed through Shopify for a workspace Tightly does not bill through Stripe.

Pending stands only while something is scheduled; with nothing scheduled the set is not there. Billing change reads "Billing change scheduled for {date}" with Keep current billing, and "Confirm through checkout" beside it. Cancellation reads "Scheduled for {date}" with Undo cancellation, and "Undo any time before that date" beside it.

What to do

Open billing portal opens Stripe's own page for cards, invoices and receipts in a new tab. Talk to us opens Tightly's booking page in a new tab; it is the door for a plan change or a new plan.

Cancel subscription stands at the head's right on a live plan with nothing already pending, for a workspace not billed by Tightly through Stripe; a workspace billed through Stripe has no cancel button here. It opens a drawer, Cancel subscription: Why, one of six reasons (I no longer need the product, It's too expensive, I had technical issues, I couldn't onboard properly, I'm switching to another tool, Other), Anything else (optional), and the consequence before the button: "Cancelling takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle on {date}; access to Tightly ends then." The decline is "Never mind, I'll stay"; the act is Cancel subscription, and it waits until a reason is chosen. Undo cancellation reverses a scheduled cancellation before its date. Keep current billing stands where a billing change is scheduled, and goes through checkout.

Admins change this. Everyone else sees "Admins change this" once at the head and reads the rows; their buttons stay pressed off.

A store installed from the Shopify App Store is Tightly Lite and is billed through Shopify or not at all; nothing is sold on it. A paying workspace connects Shopify through its own app and is billed by Tightly. Tightly holds that rule when a charge is attempted, and refuses the wrong route with one of two sentences: "This organisation is billed by Tightly, not through Shopify." and "This store came from the Shopify App Store; nothing is sold on it."

When it is empty or failed

A failed read prints "The subscription did not load." with Try again. A cancellation the server refused prints the server's sentence in the drawer, or "The plan was not cancelled; nothing changed." where it gave none. A checkout you left prints "The payment was cancelled; nothing changed." at the top of the page.
