The question this page answers
Which channels sell your stock, which side of the trade is each one on, which place ships for it, whose channel it is where an account owns it, and where do its figures come from? Channels is the settings page; the rail row says the same word.
What you see
The head is the page's name; like every Settings page it carries no sentence. Where every row's figures come from one source, the head's basis line names it once, Figures from {source}, and the Figures from column leaves; where every row last synced on the same day, that date stands in the head and the Synced column leaves.
The table, Sales channels, has one row per channel. Channel is its name; a channel that has stopped selling carries the word Inactive. A channel whose side is Wholesale carries the word Auto, with the reason on hover:
Created by Tightly when bulk orders were detected from {name}, so wholesale sell-in stays apart.
Sells is the side, DTC (we sell to the shopper), Wholesale or Retail, the same words in every chair; a channel nobody has typed reads Not yet typed. Availability says how the channel's stock figure is written, Off, Shadow, Tightly writes it or Not on file, and where one is set it opens that channel's panel. Ships from is the place or places that ship for the channel; where nothing ships yet the cell reads No warehouse yet, in the chair's word for a place. Account appears only in the brand and both chairs, with an EDI connection and at least one account on file: the account whose channel this is, or Not yet linked. With the connection and no account yet, one line above the rows says so: "No channel is linked yet." Figures from names the source per row, SPS for an account that arrives over EDI. Synced is the date its figures last landed, or Not yet.
The side is read from the channel's type, never from its name, and an absent type is never read as direct.
Where your orders carry a region, as a NetSuite order carries its subsidiary's country, Tightly splits each direct channel into one channel per region after every sync, named {channel} ({REGION}), so each region is forecast on its own; a direct channel left with no orders of its own then reads Inactive.
What to do
Set permanently types a channel once. The choice is DTC or Wholesale, each with its meaning under it; once set it is not re-typed here, because every plan reads it.
Ships from picks the active places that ship for the channel; a place the connected system linked stays linked, and dropping it reads "{place} is linked to {channel} by {source} and stays linked."
Account links one account to the channel, or clears the link with Not yet linked. Only accounts on no other channel are offered.
The page lets only an admin change these and says so once, "Admins change these."; everyone else reads the rows.
When it is empty or failed
A failed read prints the page's sentence with Try again; no channels prints the second:
The sales channels did not load.
No sales channels yet.
A write the server refused prints its sentence under the table, with the channel's name in front where the sentence does not carry it; a refusal with no sentence prints "The change was not saved."
