What it is

A tier is the rung of the commercial ladder your organisation is sold on: Tightly Lite, Tightly Essentials, Tightly Essentials+ or Tightly Pro. Lite is the free edition installed from the Shopify App Store. Essentials is the paid edition of the same rail, with Tightly's people guiding the setup. Essentials+ is Essentials with Tightly Connect open (Accounts, Order intake and Sell-out intake, one account's book and record) plus the baseline engine and product data (the Catalogue and Families), without the plan of record. Pro is the edition with the commitment room: Commitments, Finance and the whole of Tightly Connect, the Showroom and the buyer portal included. On a face the plan's one word is Essentials+; the wire spells it essentials_plus.

How Tightly decides it

The rail's tier is one predicate, read from three facts. The install channel comes first: an organisation born from the App Store listing is Lite whatever grants it holds. Then the commitment room's own grant: where it is held the tier is Pro. Then the Tightly Connect grant: where it is held the tier is Essentials+; otherwise it is Essentials. What a page or an act opens is decided by the grants on your subscription; from Essentials+ up, the plan's own list is a floor under those grants, so a move onto one of those plans takes effect with no second step.

The tier decides which rows the rail draws, and Ask Tightly answers only from articles written for your plan.

The words on the face

RailWhat it holds
LiteHome and Inbox; Ask Tightly with the Board, which on Lite holds ten fixed charts; under Plan, Selling periods, Demand (Demand forecasting, Demand signals where the grant exists, Events, Sales performance) and the Budget; under Product, Components; under Supply, Replenishment with Smart Replenishment, the Buy book (Bench, Container planning, Purchase orders, Inbound shipments, Transfer orders, Suppliers, Manufacturing orders) and Inventory (Stock on hand, Floor & stockroom, Stocktakes); Settings without the Developer group, Approvals or Finance
EssentialsThe same rows, with Skills under Ask Tightly and a Board of the answers you keep, plus five doors marked for sale, each a leaf: Commitments and Analogs marked Pro; Catalogue, Families and Tightly Connect marked Essentials+; Settings gains the Developer group: API keys, Webhooks and Metrics
Essentials+Essentials with the Catalogue and Families open and the Connect zone open on Accounts, Order intake and Sell-out intake; Commitments and Analogs stay marked Pro
ProHome, Inbox and Mail; Ask Tightly with the Board, Reports and Skills; under Plan, Commitments, Demand and Finance; Product with Catalogue, Families, Analogs and Components; Supply with Orders, the Buy book and Inventory; Tightly Connect with the Showroom; Settings with Approvals and Finance

Nothing for sale is shown on the Lite rail: a row Lite cannot sell is absent, never marked, and a zone emptied by that leaves with it, because the App Store listing may not point at externally billed plans. On Essentials a marked row opens one page that names the room and what it holds, with one sentence naming the plan that sells it

and one act, Book time with Tightly. Inside Tightly Connect on Essentials+ the Showroom, an account's pre-season plan and the buyer's pages stay Pro's and answer the first sentence. Ask Tightly and Settings ride every rail. On Lite, Ask Tightly does four things: the fixed charts, reporting a bug, answering a how-to question from the help centre, and pointing at the page the answer is about. A chart of your own and a skill are not on Lite, so the Board there is ten fixed charts and Skills is not a Lite room. Smart Replenishment and the Budget are rows on the Lite, Essentials and Essentials+ rails and not on Pro's; on Pro the Smart Replenishment address opens the Bench. A typed address the plan does not open shows the page's own name over the same sentence, for example

for Skills typed on Lite, where the page offers nothing to book.

What you can do about it

On Essentials or Essentials+, open a marked row and Book time with Tightly; the page lists what the room holds so the conversation starts from the rooms, not from a pitch. On Lite, nothing is for sale inside the product; the store listing is where the edition is chosen. On any tier, the rail you see is the rail your plan has, so a room you cannot find is a room your plan does not include rather than one you have missed. Billing says which plan you are on.

Glossary line

Lite, Essentials, Essentials+, Pro: the commercial ladder as sold; Essentials+ is Essentials with Tightly Connect Lite, product data and the baseline engine, and Pro is the edition with the commitment room.
