The question this page answers
Tightly just broke on me: what happened, is my work safe, and how do I get back to it? This is the crash page. It renders one thing, a page that stopped drawing itself, caught by the app's own boundary. It is not the page for a failed read, a refused write or a missing record; each of those has its own sentence in place.
What you see
- 1Reload Tightly reloads the whole app and returns you to Home.
The title is
Stopped working
and the verdict states two facts, that the page failed and that your data did not:
This page stopped working, and your data is unchanged.
Under it, one button, Reload Tightly, and beside it the support address, support@tightly.io, for a reload that lands on the same crash. Off production, on Tightly's own internal builds, one more line in code type names the cause, the error's name and message, so a Tightly person reading over your shoulder sees what broke; on production that line is absent. Nothing is red. No code number prints anywhere.
The page draws in the sign-in shell rather than the product frame, because a frame that broke cannot host its own crash page. While a Tightly person is working in your account on your behalf, their banner stands above the page with Return to admin, so a session that broke while they were inside still hands them back their own identity.
What to do
- Press Reload Tightly.
- Where the reload brings the same crash back, write to support@tightly.io.
Reload clears the recorded error and reloads the whole app; the app then opens Home, or Sign in where the session has gone. It is the page's one button, and it is a full reload on purpose: the part of the page that broke keeps its broken state until the app starts again, so a soft return would land you back in it.
When it is empty or failed
This page has no loading, empty or failed state of its own: with no error recorded it never renders, and the address opens Home. Two other failure faces are not this page. A part of the app that did not arrive, after Tightly was updated while your tab was open, reads that the page could not be loaded and offers Try again. A purchase order, a supplier or a stocktake that no longer exists opens Not found, as does an address that names nothing.
