WhereAny address inside Tightly that names nothing

The question this page answers

There is no page at this address: where was I going, and where do I go now? Not found is the page every address that names nothing lands on, whatever the reason: a mistyped address, an old bookmark, a page your seat does not include, or a record that once existed and does not any more. It renders inside the product frame, with your rail beside it, because only a signed-in member of an organisation ever sees it: a guest is sent to Sign in, a Tightly staff seat to its own portal, and an organisation still in Setup to its step.

What you see

Not found: one sentence and one door, whatever the address was.
  1. The one sentence the page ever prints, whatever the address named.
  2. The one door, beside the sentence.

The frame's title is

Not found

and the page is one card with one sentence:

This link is out of date, or never existed.

Where you typed or followed an address, it stays in the address bar, so a link you were sent can be read and corrected there, and a refresh lands on the same page rather than on Home. No reason is given on the face, on purpose: a mistyped address, a page your seat may not open and a page reserved for Tightly's own on-call team share this one sentence, so the page never confirms what exists and what does not.

One door, Home, beside the sentence: the only address certain to exist for whoever arrived.

What to do

  1. Check the address in the bar for a typo.
  2. Press Home and walk to the page from the rail instead.
  3. Where a link came from a colleague who can open it and you cannot, ask them for the page's name; your seat may not include it.

When it is empty or failed

This page has one state. Two neighbours are not it. One arrival is this page by another road: a purchase order or a supplier deleted after the link was made opens this page in place of the record, rather than a failed read's own sentence, since there is no longer a record to fail against. A Tightly build updated while your tab was open and a part of the app that did not arrive read that the page could not be loaded, with Try again. A session that expires while you are on this page sends you to Sign in without remembering this address, since an address that named nothing is not worth returning to.
