## The question this page answers

Which mailbox does Tightly read and write from for me, who else sees it, and does Tightly read the files that land in it? Email is under You: the mailbox is yours, one per person, connected and disconnected by you. Setup › Email is the same connection as an optional setup step.

## What you see

The head is the page's name; like every Settings page it carries no sentence.

**Your inbox** holds Mailbox, the address and the provider, as `{address} · Google` or `{address} · Microsoft`. With none connected the row reads "No inbox is connected yet.", or "No inbox connected; connecting failed." after a sign-in that did not finish, beside the two doors Connect Google and Connect Microsoft. Once connected it also holds Connected (the day; `No date on file`) and Last synced (`Not yet synced`), and the set carries the act Disconnect.

**What Tightly does with it** holds up to four rows. **Suppliers in the inbox** counts the sender domains that belong to no supplier record: `{n} sender domains on no supplier`, `No new sender domains`, `Not read yet`, or `Reading the inbox` while it reads; the act is Scan inbox, closed with "Connect an inbox first." until a mailbox is connected. **Accounts in the inbox**, where your organisation holds Tightly Connect, counts the accounts this inbox matched by their domains, `{n} accounts matched by their domains` or `No account matched by domain`, with the door Accounts. **Who sees this inbox** is one of three words: `Only Tightly`, `Subject and people` or `Full messages`; the act is Change. **Reads attachments** reads `On since {date} · {name}` or `Off`, with Turn on or Turn off; off Tightly Pro the row reads `Sold with Tightly Pro.` and offers nothing to press. The last three rows appear once a mailbox is connected.

## What to do

**Connect Google** or **Connect Microsoft** sends you to sign in at the provider and asks for the access Tightly needs; this page is the address you come back to, and the connection confirms in place.

**Scan inbox** reads the sender domains in your mailbox and opens Suppliers found in your inbox: one row per domain with a proposed supplier name you can edit or Drop. Add {n} suppliers records them, and "Also import vendors from {source}" beside it imports your source's vendors too. The receipt is "{n} suppliers added."

**Change** on Who sees this inbox opens a drawer with the three levels, least shared first, each with its consequence: "Only Tightly reads this inbox; no colleague sees a subject.", "Colleagues see the subject and the people, never the messages.", "Colleagues read every message and open every file in this inbox." One line is true at every level and is said once: "What Tightly proposes stays readable by everyone." You always read your own mailbox whole.

**Turn on** Reads attachments opens a drawer with one consequence and one button: "From now on Tightly reads the files in this inbox and proposes acts; every act still waits for a person." Turn off says "From now on Tightly reads no file in this inbox and proposes nothing." The email agent article says what Tightly proposes and how a person approves.

**Disconnect** carries its consequence first: "From now on Tightly cannot send supplier mail from {address} or log the replies that land there." The decline is Cancel. The page becomes the not-connected page in place.

A mailbox is its owner's: connecting and disconnecting your own needs the Member rung, and an admin cannot disconnect somebody else's here. Every rail carries this page; the Mail page that reads across every connected mailbox has a rail row on Tightly Pro.

## When it is empty or failed

A failed read prints "The inbox connection did not load." with Try again. A scan that failed reads "The inbox could not be scanned."; a scan that found nothing "No new supplier domains." A write the server refused without a sentence reads "The inbox was not disconnected and no reason came back.", "The suppliers were not added and no reason came back.", "The level was not changed and no reason came back." or "The setting was not changed and no reason came back."
