## The question this page answers

What was signed, and what has moved since?

## What you see

::: shot page
:::

The declaration is the record of a commitment as it was signed and as it stands now, read only. The head names the commitment with its stage word, a door back to the desk, and the two acts, Amend and Retire. Beneath Declaration history stands the page's one sentence: that no declared number has moved on the envelope declared on a date, or that the envelope awaits a second name. A change still waiting on its signer is marked proposed on the record rather than counted.

Where a number has moved, one table stands under Declaration history: Number, As declared, Now, with a side of its own only where the channels differ. As declared is the figure first declared; Now is the current version. Where nothing has moved there is no table, because the two columns would say the same figure twice.

The current version is read back as The declaration as it stands, with its version. Its facts name the commitment, its type as Season with its label or Continuity, the window, when the buy locks or that a continuity book has none, what it covers, its channel legs, its autonomy, and how it was signed. Hover on Amend says who must sign a change, and hover on Retire says where the envelope is enforced; where nobody has chosen how commitments get signed off, the hover says the first approval settles it.

Under it stand the numbers, each as Number, Declared, Basis and Binds, with the clause the record keeps: the [buy envelope](../commitments/buy-envelope) as the buying budget at cost; the [sell-through pace](../commitments/sell-through-pace) on its finish line or, for continuity, its cover corridor, as the weekly drift anchor; the [chase reserve](../commitments/chase-reserve), held inside the envelope and moving by release; the [availability floor](../commitments/availability-floor), recorded as replenishment bounds; the [margin floor](../commitments/margin-floor), recorded and cited with no engine enforcing it; and, on a season, the [terminal stock ceiling](../commitments/terminal-stock-ceiling), reviewed at close and never scored. An absence is a word in the cell, Not declared, never a blank. Where an envelope is declared with no reserve the page says No buying reserve declared; where no envelope is declared, that nothing is carved.

Budget by category follows where the declaration divides its envelope, then Being worked now, which says who has a change in flight on this buy without saying what they are trying. The record comes last: every version, newest first, with the acts worked on the buy beside them, as Version, What happened, Reason, Cost at close once a version is priced, By and When. An amendment that moved nothing reads No change on this version.

## What to do

1. Press **Amend** to open [Amend a commitment](../commitments/amend); disabled with its reason where the state refuses it, for example:

   > Amend arms after the second signature.

2. Press **Retire** to open [Retire a commitment](../commitments/retire); disabled with its reason where there is nothing left to retire, for example:

   > This commitment is closed, so nothing on it moves and there is nothing left to retire.

3. On [Work the buy](../commitments/the-desk), use the reading called Versions, or the head's Declaration door, to open this page as a drawer instead.

Nothing on this page itself writes.

## When it is empty or failed

> Select a commitment to view its declaration.

> No commitment at this address.

A record that did not come back is a failed read, and the page says so rather than drawing an empty table:

> Declaration failed to load.

Where a number has moved but no figure could be drawn, the table says:

> No declared figures.
